![]() ![]() Though wildly outnumbered, the samurai of Tsushima gather for an all-out assault on the Khan’s forces, and most of them meet their deaths. The intelligent and brutal Mongol chieftain Khotun Khan, a fictional figure positioned here as the grandson of Genghis Khan, aims to use the island of Tsushima as a strategic foothold from which to conquer the Japanese mainland. The game is set in 1274, the year of the first Mongol invasion of Japan. Ghost of Tsushima begins as an era of stability and prosperity for the samurai ends. Unfortunately, the gameplay that takes up your time on Tsushima is overly safe and familiar, resulting in a game that’s packed with lovely spots to discover and offers moments of peaceful reflection, yet still struggles to differentiate itself from numerous other open-world adventures. This fictionalized version of Tsushima is a vast, beautiful place thankfully not limited by strict adherence to historical or geographical accuracy, but instead tinged with myth and magic. The Black Dye Merchant is located in the northeast section of the Kushi Prefecture of the Toyotama region, in a cave up in the hills just east of Kawamata Village along a dirt road.Ghost of Tsushima, the new open-world adventure from Infamous developer Sucker Punch Productions, has a wonderful asset in the island setting that gives the game its name. Take the roads west along the peak to find his home nestled in the back. The White Dye Merchant is located in upper Kashine prefecture of the Izuhara region, found along a mountain called Wanderer's Pass on the map, north of Kashine Forest. There are two unique merchants hiding in the island of Tsushima who have entirely unique armor and bow dyes from any other merchant you will encounter - and can be hard to track down. Since you can collect flowers while on horseback, it's highly recommended that you always keep a lookout when traveling from one point to another and grabbing any that you pass on the way, as there are many dyes to unlock over the course of the game. ![]() By setting flowers to be tracked, your guiding wind will constantly reorient to point you in the direction of the nearest flowers. Luckily, one of the perks of the Traveler's Attire you are given by Merchants is that they can track collectible items via the Guiding Wind - and this includes Flowers. Flowers can also be found in abundance in certain towns like Hiyoshi Springs and Akashima Village, and also grow all over the routes leading to Shinto Shrines. They come in several colors - often depending on the region, and flash white like other resources as you draw near. It's also important to note that while all Merchants in the Izuhara region of Act 1 share the same goods, you can find new dyes and headgear in the main towns of Toyotama and Kamigata (though the survivor camps may not alter their selection).įlowers can be found growing literally all over Tsushima - from riversides to meadows, deep woods, and treacherous mountain peaks. Once you beat the whole game, the title screen showcases Mario and Luigi riding on Red Fire again, along with 9 other racers (some are mixed teams, and one is offscreen at the upper right corner), in what seems to resemble the fan tube section of Rainbow Road. The evening one was obtained by beating the Super Circuit Cups with gold, and the night was obtained from beating the whole game. Like the previous game, the title screens weren't reversible. Succeeding further in the game lead to the sky turning to an orange-ish evening, and then into the night sky of Rainbow Road, the floating castle within sight. The primary screen had all 8 racers lined up on a track with clear blue skies. Mario Kart: Super Circuit, the GBA Mario Kart, had two alternate screens, although they didn't differ much from the original. The Alternate Title Screen was also permanent. This screen was unlocked by getting a golden trophy in all cups in all available Engine Classes. ![]() The original pictured Mario, Wario, Bowser, Peach, and Toad racing across an unknown, rather bland-looking track, but the new screen featured Donkey Kong assaulting Yoshi and Luigi with a Green Shell, followed by Mario and Peach on a desert course (possibly Kalimari Desert.) ![]() ![]() The product received large amounts of attention on the internet after its discontinuation at its peak the product was being mentioned in one form or another on average once every 40 seconds. In March 2015, Burger King permanently re-added Chicken Fries to the menu in a large, international menu expansion in thirty countries. There was disappointment from these groups as well because of the product's status as a limited time offering. The return of the product met with a favorable reaction from those who were advocating for Chicken Fries to return to the Burger King menu. They were re-released in August 2014 as a limited time offering (LTO). Perez Hilton's web site declared that Chicken Fries are one product of many that will never come back, while comedian Daniel Tosh featured a skit during one of the segments of his show, Tosh.0, to the product's return. Additionally, a petition was created that called on Burger King to reinstate the product to its menu. Fans of the product also established several social media accounts dedicated to Chicken Fries' return on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr. The product was discontinued in January 2012, replaced with Burger King's version of chicken strips in March of that year.įollowing Chicken Fries' discontinuation, there was a call for the product's reinstatement from fans of the product on forums such as Reddit Business Insider noted that they are one of the 17 most requested fast products that people would like to see returned to menus. Additionally, the chain was also adding other fare such as its TenderGrill, TenderCrisp and Angus sandwiches, that were designed to offer more complex menu items that would raise average check prices and expand the breadth of its offerings in the fast food market place. At the time of the introduction, Burger King was targeting a demographic group it identified as the "super fan", a group consisting of males between the ages of 18 and 34 that ate at fast food restaurants several times a week. Despite being a major product line in the company's portfolio, Burger King has registered very few, if any, global trademarks to protect its investment in the product.īK Chicken Fries were introduced in 2005 as part of a menu expansion that was designed to cater to a more adult demographic looking for dishes that went beyond the standard fast food fare. Even though the product has been a prominent part of the menu for the better part of a decade, Burger King has released very few LTO variants of the product, with the first one being released in the summer of 2015. ![]() The company has also relied heavily on product tie-ins with the NFL, NCAA and NASCAR to promote the product across different demographic groups. With the product's North American reintroduction in 20, Burger King utilized a heavy social media campaign to help entice fans of the product back into restaurants. The original advertisements were created by the firm of Crispin, Porter + Bogusky and were the subject of both criticism and legal action by the nu metal band Slipknot over claims of intellectual property rights, while later advertising programs started the company on a new direction of digital-based, multi-media advertising. In August 2014, they were reintroduced for a limited-time offering (LTO) in North America, leading to their permanent re-addition to the menu in March 2015 in over 30 countries globally.Īs one of the company's major offerings, the chicken fries are sometimes the center of product advertising for the company. They were discontinued in the United States in 2012, but continued to be sold in some markets, such as Italy. Along with this series of larger, more complex menu products, the company intended to attract a larger, more affluent adult audience who would be willing to spend more on the better-quality products. The product was part of a series of product introductions designed to expand Burger King's menu with both more sophisticated fare and present a larger, meatier product that appealed to 24- to 36-year-old males. Additionally, the product further targeted the snacking and convenience food markets with a specific packaging design that was intended to be easier to handle and fit into automotive cup holders. These are the last elements where we will use the + symbol. As you can already guess you should name them +Left Eyebrow and +Right Eyebrow. I will leave the blink groups invisible and move on to the eyebrows. That is why the eyelids of your puppet need to be in the same group as their eyes. Remember! Every time you blink Character Animator will show the closed eyelids of your puppet and make everything else that is in the same group as the eyelids invisible. Next it’s time for the blinking eyelids! I will create eyelids for Vicky and name them Left Blink and Right Blink. So I can name them whatever I want.Īll the other names we talk about in this section are recognized by the program that is why it is important to use them correctly and use them only once. Vicky also has eyelashes but they are a decorative element, they have no function but aesthetic. CA recognizes the elements with this name as boundaries for the pupils of the puppet. You should name the white parts (the eyeballs) of the eye Left Pupil Rangeand Right Pupil Range. Don’t forget the +in front of the pupils names, that way your character will be able to look around. Then name each pupil +Left Pupiland +Right Pupil. You need to name them Left Eyeand Right Eye, according to your puppet’s body, not your screen. In a few quick steps, you can bring your puppet’s still face to life! Let’s see how! The amazing thing about CA, is that if you name and arrange these elements correctly the program will animate them for you. These are the eyebrows, the pupils, the blinking, and the mouth shapes. They have their very specific behaviors, that is why they get their own section. Now, we will continue with naming and arranging the facial features of the puppet that are automatically recognized by Character Animator. I decided that later I want to assign dangle behavior to her ponytails, that is why they also have a + in front of their name. Vicky’s arms now will be able to wave around independently. Here you can see the + symbol appearing again. Next, let’s name the elements that we want to assign behaviors to later. In the body group, these are the torso, skirt, and the legs. In the head group, these are the face shape, the ears, the nose, the freckles and the top part of the hair. Moving on! Inside each of them, I have grouped the elements that will not move independently or have no behaviors assigned by the program. That way CA will know these are the correct head and body of your puppet. To avoid confusing the program, you should use these words only once – in these group names. You can see, in the +Vicky layer, I now have a group with head and a group with body parts.Ĭharacter Animator recognizes the words head and body and assigns the appropriate behaviors accordingly. We will use the + for other names soon but first let’s create a head and a body group. It indicates that a layer or a group is Warp Independent, meaning it can be moved independently to the rest of the body. The plus symbol: + is a crucial element in the naming of layers and groups in CA. But what is more important is the + symbol in front of the name. It’s a good idea to give the layer your character’s name or description (ex.: boy, child, woman, etc.) I will name it +Vicky since her name is Vicky. Let’s take this simple character and do just that!Īs you can see all of this little girl’s body parts are in one unnamed layer. When working with Adobe Illustrator to create a puppet, an easy way to arrange it correctly is to use only one layer and multiple groups within it, containing the different body parts of your puppet. The way you name your layers and groups is very important because Character Animator uses these names to recognize the puppet’s body parts. We will also use this term to describe a character that is being prepared to be used in CA.īut what about those of you who prefer to make their puppets in Photoshop? Read our tutorial on How to Make a Character Animator Puppet in Adobe Photoshop.Ģ. In the previous tutorial, we learned what Adobe Character Animator is and how it works, now it’s time to really get our hands dirty!
